Applications for undergraduate courses should be submitted online through PAC HERE. Students are welcome to apply from 1 November 2017 for September 2018 Entry.
Please read the below instructions carefully before completing the online application form.
- Check the courses available using the Course Finder tool.
- Check the Entry Requirements for your country-specific section below.
- Complete the PAC application, uploading all required documents.
- Make sure that you upload the required documentation:
- All second level (high school) certificates or transcripts
- Any third level (college) transcript(s)
- Most recent English language qualifications (where relevant) clearly showing the level achieved (IELTS,TOEFL or PTE)
- Students wishing to transfer to Maynooth University from another degree programme should provide an official description of the courses they have taken to date as well as up-to-date transcripts, clearly showing all details of your current studies.
- Any other documentation as specified in the country-specific entry requirements, or as requested by the International Office
Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed. The International Office may request to see original documentation if scanned documents are uploaded at the time of application. All original documents must be presented in person at registration.

Please note that these are general admission guidelines. For advice on specific cases please send the qualification details to the International Office before applying.
Students must have completed a recognised School Leaving examination which is considered equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate. Certain programmes may have specific or additional requirements (e.g. Leaving Certificate Mathematics or equivalent is required for the BA Finance degree). Note that all applicants applying from outside Ireland are NOT required to have taken the Irish language. In addition, all students must meet the minimum English Language requirements detailed below. Minimum 75% in the Higher Secondary School Certificate- Standard 12 awarded through the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or the India Council for School Examinations (ICSE), or any equivalent Standard 12 All India Secondary School Certificate
USA
GPA plus SAT or ACT
Minimum High School GPA 3.0/4.0 (3.5/4.0 for certain degrees)
Minimum SAT Composite (reading, writing and math): 1000 / 1600 (1200 / 1600 for certain degrees)
Minimum ACT Composite: 22 / 36 (26 /36 for certain degrees (writing section not required)
Superscoring applies if tests are taken within two years of applying

IB Diploma Equivalencies
We welcome students applying who have taken the IB Diploma. ALL Higher Education institutions in Ireland have agreed a set equivalency to the Irish Leaving Certificate points.
